Abstract

In article existing is examined among the authors of school textbooks of position, refl ecting them priorities in regard to the selection of maintenance of educational historical material, methodical manipulation of texts. Opinion speaks out the author of this article that a textbook of history must be not only the carrier of educational data of scientifi c character but also to become a didactic mean, to the exposing teenagers ethics and aesthetic senses of historical events, the same sending and orienting them in the world of spiritual and moral values. The historical information, given in educational texts in textbooks on history able to execute not only informative and developing functions but also educate. It must become the mean of actualization of spiritual necessities, activation of intellectual capabilities, and basis of determination of teenagers in the system of cultural, spiritual and vital values in historical and, accordingly, modern measuring. А school textbookmust become for students vitally by a meaningful mean: a) opening of the world, awareness of main senses of natural and human life; b) creation of own personality is in a coexistence and collaboration with other people; c) conscious self-realization in the different types of educational activity.
