Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of the development of modern younger children’s cognitive processes — representatives of the digital generation. Studies of Ukrainian and foreign scientists on the influence of ICT on the formation and development of perception, memory, thinking of primary school children are analysed. The existence of different points of view on the impact of ICT on the child’s higher mental functions has been found: positive and negative. Some aspects of methods of teaching mathematics in primary school, implemented in the teaching and methodical set of mathematics by S. Skvortsova and O. Onopriienko, are considered. The way to improve this methodology is proposed — the use of ICT tools at different stages of educational cognition. The necessity to take into account in the choice of teaching methods the characteristics of the psychological portrait of a modern primary school child: the desire to interact with digital devices, easy adaptation to the virtual environment, etc. Attention is drawn to the fact that modern methods of teaching should include teacher-directed student action in a virtual environment. Possibilities of creating interactive mathematics exercises for primary school children with the help of online service LearningApps and methodological peculiarities of its use at different stages of the learning process are identified. The methodology of using the service LearningApps at the mathematics lessons in the 2nd grade was developed and experimentally tested on the basis of the textbook «Mathematics. Grade 2» S. Skvortsova and O. Onopriienko. The methodology, which involves pupils performing interactive exercises created with LearningApps, was experimentally tested in the school No. 2 I-III degrees in Izmail, Odesa region. The results of the experimental study showed a positive impact from the use of interactive exercises on the quality of pupils’ learning achievements at the mathematics lessons created using the online service LearningApps.
