REALIZATION OF ACTUAL SCIENTIFIC APPROACHES IN THE CONTENT OF MATH TEXTBOOK FOR XI GRADE STUDENTS WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES

Abstract
In the article the theoretical approaches (active, integrative, competency-based, personalityoriented, individual and differentiated, interactive) for defining math study content for XI grade students with intellectual disabilities are described. In accordance with the curriculum for special schools (special boarding schools) where students of the last two grades (XI–XII) with intellectual disabilities study, the programs are established with dipper social and professional content to meet the main aims of teaching students of this category for a social and economical independent life, for getting professional skills, for achieving maximal possible social and professional level. All the teaching programs including math are aimed at achieving the main goal of teaching a graduate with intellectual disabilities for a social interaction and professional activity. The authors of the article disclose the implementation theoretical approaches mentioned above on pages of a textbook“Math” for XI grade students with intellectual disabilities. The first from the mentioned theoretical approaches for implementation the content the authors consider the active approach because including students with intellectual disabilities in a practical activity directed toward making of definitive actions, allows forming a system of actions and operations which will help to form generalized (universal) ways of activity. Based on The List of qualifications recommended for teaching persons with intellectual disabilities in psychophysical development, including disabled people in the Republic of Belarus (such as seamstress, shoe collector, painter, carpenter, gardener, stockbreeder) the authors choose appropriate tasks, exercises, problems with math content. In the article the criteria and indicators for assessing the quality of the content of math subject for students with intellectual disabilities are mentioned.
