Abstract

There is an analysis performed in the article concerning of the textbook on the history of Ukraine for the profi le-oriented forms of social and humanistic direction from the position of the written historical sources using and the methods of work with these sources. Therefore in articles described on specifi c examples of the advantages and disadvantages of textbook with written historical sources and analyzed methodological apparatus of work with written historical sources proposed by the authors. The textbook on the history of Ukraine for the profi le-oriented forms must contain the materials for opening the essence of subject as well as the historical documents and set of questions to help the pupils in realization of the own position formation concerning of studied material. In the article presented and classified documents from textbook and shown successful creative nature of the task, what is calling the student to analyze and evaluate the sources of historical events and less successful examples of written historical sources that are have reproductive in nature and have mandatory study textbook paragraph. To illustrate effectively with written historical sources analyzed one document with algorithm developed O. Pometun. The article also provides a brief analysis of alternative textbook «History of the era through the eyes of man. Ukraine and Europe in 1900–1939» what provides benefi ts that are effective in teaching students specialized classes of social and humanities high school.
